That's weird. I looked for it there as well but didn't see it. Oh well, I'll just consider it another one of those signs that I'm getting old - and obviously blind!
Haha - no! It hasn't been uploaded to the hardcoverwebpage yet.
Wow. Very different. For some reason it reminds me of Alison Weir's covers.

I wonder if all subsequent HF will now have faces in bubbles... ;)
The fact that she has a head is shocking enough! ;)

I'll be interested to see what the cover is for the US and whether that will have a head.

The American version I've seen (in the Simon & Schuster catalog) has the same woman, same pose, but most of the cover is taken up with a portrait of her; you can also see the top part of her gown. There's a lacy pattern in the background that covers the top half of her face. The effect is less like a photograph and more like a painting. Who knows if it will change before September, though.

Oh - thanks Aridane. I look forward to seeing it. Unless the author doesn't like the cover, it probably won't change much. For books debuting in September, the covers need to be finalized right about now if galleys are going to be printed in time. Although, when you have an author with Philippa Gregory's kind of clout, I suppose the cover could change at any point!

The woman looks confused in that pic. I saw it today on someone's blog. I was like ehh, I dunno if I like it or not.

I remember when the cover of Devil's Brood changed after the publisher's catalog was printed (and the old cover was on the catalog cover!) so I figure anything might happen! To me it has the same type of look as her latest two covers, so it probably won't. Especially since she has the same publisher in the US and UK now.

I wouldn't mind, ANY trend away from headless covers is good in my opinion :)
I found this cover on Fantastic Fiction for Gregory's The White Queen. It's not on Amazon, but it's definately different.

It's better than the last UK cover for Phillipa Gregory for sure!
Amazon UK has a cover up for Michelle's new book (Cleopatra's Daughter). Michelle, is this the actual cover? I like it!

I agree, it's very good looking. I hope that the US cover is as attractive.
