Thank goodness he's on the mend - and that treatment almost sounds like the sort of thing a kid would have fun with.

I love all you kids talking like you're of advanced years. I just turned 44, y'all, and *I* don't even talk like I'm that far gone. :) Bars are for me if I'm in the mood for them, and though "the man" is 4000 miles distant and there's no way to know when that'll end, life's got a bit to offer. As long as it's not over, you don't have to dwell on age, really.

And as long as there's a mom around to need, revel in having her. Mine still gives me the "poor Diane" treatment when I'm ill too. God bless 'er!

Divia, my husband has a second cousin who met her husband (neither of them had ever been married) in her late forties. Or was it early fifties? Either way, there's no time limit.

Give yourself time. It hasn't been that long. It will get better.

Ticia, glad to hear that your son is doing a little better and liking his hospital bed. It sound like the kind my Ben would love.

What if you've gotten up in years without finding anyone ever? There almost was something when I was a teenager, but that turned out to be nothing.

As long as you're breathing, there's still time. But it's most likely to happen when you aren't looking for it, so do the things you want to do regardless of whether you're in a relationship or not and let love come when it comes.

I'm convinced I never will since I haven't found any love at all yet. :(

I hear ya. I hear ya.

Love, I know what you are saying. And I should give myself time. I get that. But my friend backstabbed me and had a hand in the break up. So, now my little group of friends is gone too.

No friends.
No bf.

Life is pretty lonely and long on the weekend. I hate it. I really do. :(

I was 35 before I found the one who's ruined me for life, and nine years later we've spent all but about three months in an LDR. For the past seven years, he's been 4000 miles away.

And I'd rather be "without" him than *with* anyone else in the world.

Don't wish today away focusing on what's not in it. Take what it brings ... Who knows what that might be when you're not straining about that.

Aw, that's pretty much the same for me. I'd go book shopping with you, if we lived closer.

Divia, have you considered writing a story where characters with your ex and your ex bf's names die in some heinous way? It might make you feel better.
