Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.
Location: California Bay Area

Hey, if I was that young and cute, I'd post my picture too! As it is, you are better off admiring my llamas. :D

Your avatar brought back memories of me putting together the Playmobil castle with my kids! I think I still have it in the attic somewhere.

Thank you all! I liked the old avatar, which was a detail of the cover of Mistress of the Revolution, but the site has a new name, and it was time for a change. Feels great to find everyone again!

Me too, Michelle! My editor left my publisher, and the new pub date is summer 09.
I was arguing with friends about Egyptian history tonight (Akhenaten) and thinking of you. You must be very busy with the Heretic Queen these days...
Thanks for the link to Random House. I signed up.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about your editor. My beloved editor left Crown as well just after editing The Heretic Queen. I have a completely new editor for Cleopatra's Daughter.

Yes, things are crazy hectic with a debut date so close. Ads to book, articles to write... not that I'm complaining ;)
