I know that I am new to this forum, but I hope you don't mind me sharing this. Yesterday I received terrible news from the doctors treating my father, I was informed over the phone that he has terminal cancer . The cancer is in his liver and pancreas and unfortunately there are also complications in that Dad also has blood clots in his lungs and legs and is on blood thinning medications. The doctors want to do a biopsy but they can't while he remains on blood thinners...So they will wait and do a biopsy on his liver hopefully next week.
I asked if Dad would be able to spend Christmas with us, but the doctor couldn't guarantee anything, but he did say that Dads cancer is aggresive....As you can imagine I have had very little sleep and so I hope to use this forum as an escape and if I don't post for a while you will know why.
Please keep my family in your thoughts

Terrible News
**hugs**
There is no right thing to say with news like this, but know we'll be keeping you in our thoughts. I've dealt with a terminally ill parent and I know it's not easy.

- Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.

Sorry to hear about your dad, Rebecca. It must be awful for the whole family. I very much hope you are able to spend Christmas with him. Thinking of you.
