I wonder how much German that Joss Stone will have to speak for her role as Anne of Cleves--it'd add authenticity to the part!

In the new USA TVGuide (dated Oct 17 to Nov 2) there's a picture of Joss Stone dressed up in a costume as Anne of Cleves in front of a laptop. She looks very pretty, and the creator of the show says he doesn't buy the myth that Anne was ugly so I guess we get a pretty Anne.

Well of the little I know of Tudor history..I dont think she was ugly either. Maybe not a huge looker, but a pleasant looking woman.

I always thought she was pretty maybe not the flashy pretty, although Henry said she was ugly of course he might have been the only one.

I also thought she was quite pretty, but apparently the standards of "pretty" in those days were different than ours now.

Slightly embarrassing confession time - I bought the season 2 box set last week and gorged myself on all 10 episodes in 2 evenings! Sad or what :p

Season 2 comes out tomorrow!! So over my four day Christmasbreak/weekend I am watching the whole season so I can catch up. What better Christmas present for myself then sitting and watching Henry VIII and his court while the kids and hubby enjoy their presents.
