The Lantern by Deborah Lawrenson - dual time-frame mystery set in Provence
The Radleys by Matt Haig - contemporary vampire drama, about a seemingly ordinary family who are really bloodsuckers, but trying to integrate.

These books are both selections from a TV Book Club in the UK.
