Got a new job on Friday, which means I was only out of work for 2 days last week.

And it's in the city, so I'll be taking public transport instead of driving. which gives me about an extra 2 hours of reading every day! :D

Meeting Looby G!

Post by EC2 » Thu June 16th, 2011, 10:11 am

The best thing yesterday was meeting HFO member Looby G at a restaurant in Derby called The Wonky Table for a small event I was doing called Eat Your Words. The audience get a delicious 3 course meal with readings in between.
It was great to meet Looby G from the forum. It's always extra special when online friends you haven't met turn up. :) :)

EC I was just logging online to post the same thing!!! :) I was absolutely thrilled to meet you, it was a fantastic evening with delicious food and good company. I'll treasure my copy of 'Lady of the English' that you so kindly signed for me, and I'm definitely intrigued to find out more about stockfish... :D

Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.
Location: California Bay Area

My best thing is 12 puppies! the large number will mean a few weeks of extra work, as they'll need to be supplemented, but this is Niff and Buddy's third litter, so I have people on a waiting list. I never dare to commit to more than five families (and one pup for Buddy's owner), but as we have such an abundance I'll be sending out an email blast to all formerly interested parties.

Wow, that's quite a litter, good for Niff!
