I could have used these suggestions a few weeks ago when I did a pirate themed unit with my students. Can't remember the CD I found, but it was gawd awful; horrible voices, with same sounding music.. So we didn't use it. I'll look for those, I suspect they'd be better.
Any suggestions for good pirate-themed music?

I'm having a nautical shin-dig to celebrate my new book and would like to play something appropriate. Thanks -
I love that someone named Wendy is having a pirate party. Watch out for Captain Hook :)

Split Enz - Six Months in a Leaky Boat

It immediately sprang to my mind! But it is more sailing than pirates. But there are not too many songs with "buccaneer" in the lyrics!!!

And if there might be kids around don't forget those Wiggles songs with Captain Feathersword!!!!!

I love this one:

Flogging Molly - Queen Anne's Revenge
=)

Also there's one without words but it has some pirate-y spirit and is just epic:
Two Steps From Hell - Norwegian Pirate

Fun! We're having a pirate-themed birthday party next week for my six year old and some of these will make great background music! Thanks!
