More casting news, although probably not too surprising given that they seem to form a "dream team" - Helena Bonham Carter is now in the film too, as a psychologist.
Hmmmm. The original psychologist Julia Hoffman,
BTW, I'm still watching the old epis on DVD. Now on set #10. Barnabas has been cured, Angelique is turned into a vampire by the warlock Nicholas Blair (ooooh, he's a bad 'un) and hopefully the stupid Adam/Frankenstein story will be over soon. I'm ready for some Quentin.

It says Helena Bonham Carter is rumored to play Dr. Julia Hoffman. Michelle Pfeiffer is listed as playing Elizabeth Collins Stoddard.

Watching another set of the old series and had to share this videoof the mysterious hand of Count Petofi.
I have to say, David Selby really steals the show. Except when John Karlan's been on the scene as the nutter Carl Collins of 1897.

Update, still working my way through the old series via DVD. The 1897 bit finally wrapped up, and then back to 1970 and the Leviathan storyline, which I'd mostly forgot about. Some ancient evil race with a plot to start a new race and take over the world. It started off rather silly but there's been quite a few surprising twists and turns and boy do I love Angelique's bit of revenge with bad boy Jeb Hawkes - THE SHADOW.
Parallel time has just begun with Barnabas finding another *world* in the closed east wing and is shaping up with a definite nod to Rebecca, and Grayson Hall is the perfect Mrs. Danvers.
Oh, and the 1970's clothing is priceless

The look is too cartoonish. I dislike it. Other shots are needed I think. But I agree with a lot of the comments it looks like alice in wonderland or something like that.
Yeah, Michael Jackson + cartoonish says it all. Unless of course they are playing this like a comic book. Hope not.
