Good evening, everyone.

Today I realized that though I have commented on several threads, I never properly introduced myself. How e-rude of me. My name is Alisha and I write historical fiction. My current project is temporarily entitled MEREWYN and the premise is basically this: a supercharged Joan of Arc type woman defies King Henry III and sends England into rebellion. I live in the southern US but I love to travel to places far different from my home. Thanks to everyone for participating in this online chat group -- the experience so far has been delightful.

Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.
Location: California Bay Area

Welcome, Alisha! I've enjoyed your input. Your novel sounds interesting -- whatever do you do with Simon Montfort?

Thanks, everyone!
MLE, in my ms Simon de Montfort agrees to aid my fictional character in her rebellion as long as she puts some of his plans into action. Obviously, my work is heavy with fiction. I include some paranormal elements as well. The "real" people in the novel are kept true to my research in terms of motivation, politics, looks, and marriages. I keep the "real" places such as Westminster and Framlingham historically accurate. Thanks for your interest.
By the way, can anyone tell me how to place my blog url under my messages like so many others do?
