I just stumbled across this author via feeds at Goodreads. Any one read them? What order is the Catherine series? My library has these translations (they have some in French but I'm not able to go there),
Marianne and the Masked Prince
Marianne and the privateer
Marianne and the lords of the East
Marianne and the crown of fire
The lure of the falcon
The devil's necklace
Catherine

Karla says the Marianne books are Napoleonic era.

There'a a discussion about these on this thread

Juliette is Napoleonic era, and J has a fling with Boney himself at one stage.
Catherine is a medieval series, but annoyingly the last one was never published in English. I always wondered why it felt like the series ended in an odd place!
List for both series in chronological order at Fantastic Fiction here

The Falcon of the Mists series is another one where only a couple were translated into English-- the first two
1. The Lure Of The Falcon (1978)
2. The Devil's Diamonds (1980)
aka The Devil's Necklace
A 3rd book is listed in French as Le Trésor and a 4th called Haute-Savane

I read these when I was quite young. The Catherine series was first.
1. One Love Is Enough (1964)
2. Belle Catherine (1966)
3. Catherine and Arnaud (1967)
4. Time for Love (1968)
5. Quest (1968)
5. Royal Mistress (1968)
6. A Snare For Catherine (1974)
I don't remember Royal Mistress and I thought that there was a final novel that was not translated into English so I didn't get to read it - but I might be wrong. Whereas the Marianne novels which came out in England later and I am pretty sure I got to read the whole series:
Marianne
1. The Bride of Selton Hall (1969)
2. The Eagle and the Nightingale (1969)
3. The Masked Prince (1971)
4. The Privateer (1972)
5. The Rebels (1973)
6. The Lords of the East (1974)
7. The Crown of Fire (1976)
I recently found the Lure of the Falcon (Gyrfalcon) in a charity shop. I think there were three in the series but Lure was the only one in English. I have only recently recycled it to a charity shop because I saw no point in keeping only the singleton.
Unusually, I preferred these to the Angelique books but probably because I was just a bit too young when I read Angelique.
What I remember most about Marianne (which was set during the Napoleonic Wars) was that I actually got to read the whole series in order (ie I started with the first one when it was published and read the subsequent ones when they were published. I also remember getting to a definite ending to the saga.
I don't know how I would feel about them now.

Currently reading - Emergence of a Nation State by Alan Smith
I just finished the first Marianne book, which the copy I got from ILL is Bride of Selton Hall and Eagle (or I assume so as that's what Parts 1 & 3 were called in my edition) and I'm going to go for the next one.
What a ride, and what a big big surprise at the end. Oh my. Full review here.
That cover on Snare for Catherine would make a great one for the caption contest.
Yes it would. Almost forgot to share a cover I found whilst browsing on Amazon.

I'm sure Miss M did kindly post this on another thread, but I'll add it here as well- it's a link to a fansite for all things Catherine If you click on Books you can get a bio of Juliette Benzoni and an overview of all the Catherine titles, including the last one which was never published in English. I never realised that till Miss M mentioned it- just thought the series had ended rather oddly!
