The Pillars of the Earth on Starz

Not sure if anyone here knows about this or cares, because I know Starz isn't a very popular US cable network (like HBO and Showtime), but beginning this Friday, there is going to be an 8-part series on the Ken Follet novel.

Haven't we had a thread on this already? I'm sure I posted the trailer somewhere... Ian McShane's in it, along with Rufus Sewell & Matthew McFadyen.

Also Donald Sutherland and Hayley Atwell. Not having cable, I won't be watching it. But it will go straight to my Netflix queue when it comes out on DVD.

Haven't read the book, but with a cast like that it should be good.

If it comes to the UK, I may watch it through my fingers and with the door open ready to leave the room pronto!

Does anyone know if it will be on streaming Netflix, like what they did with Spartacus: Blood and Sand?

I don't have Starz. I am kinda curious though.

So, maybe I really want to stare at Rufus Sewell. :o

I checked Netflix and they show it "streaming" on July 24, so it should be available on line, to those without Starz, the day after it airs on cable. :)
