Re: Princess Bride: In the Dresden Files book I'm reading there was a quote from the movie that made me smile when I read it and knew where it was from.
What is Amazon Vine? I have been living under a rock or something.
If you review regularly on Amazon, you may be invited by them to join their Vine programme. Publishers and suppliers of all sorts of things give Amazon a quantity of free promotional copies. Amazon then sends out a newsletter to its selected customers asking them to choose items for free they'd like to review. The only catch is that the customer has to review 75% of what they receive. They are allowed up to four items a month. You can't apply for the Vine programme, you have to be selected by Amazon to take part. I had been reviewing on Amazon for several years and was asked if I wanted to Vine participate. I jumped at the chance. You don't have to give 5 star reviews; it's not expected. You say what you think. This time from Amazon Vine I have had Guy Gavriel Kay's novel Under Heaven and a back up Hitachi external hard drive worth £62.00 for my spare PC. Last month it was Major Pettigrew's Last Stand by Helen Simonson and The Pirate Devlin by Mark Keating. Another time a set of hair straighteners. You have to be on the ball and at the PC when the newsletter comes out to get the best deals though.

Can't wait to hear what you think. This one did serious wall damage around page 75 or thereabouts. :D
