Hello everyone!

First - a major nod to the mods for creating a new home for us. A thousand thanks to each of you. Second - it's great to be back and I was starting to feel twinges of withdrawal as well.
So let's post away and get a fresh new forum going.

btw - I was RacingGreen in a former HF life. ;)

Hiya! Yay! Great to be back and many thanks to the moderators for working to get us all set up again. If I've signed in right, I'm probably EC2 this time around as I wasn't allowed to have only two letters/digits to my name. I dithered and dallied with handles, and decided that it was taking too long, so sorry I sound like a UK postal code, but who gives a stuff. The forum's back and that's what matters!
There isn't any 'edit avatar' option on my user CP. I checked three times, just to make sure I wasn't missing it.
Ditto here. I know on the royalty forum I help moderate, posters cannot do certain things until they have posted a certain number of posts.

That's weird about the avatars, because the site is set to allow everyone to have 'em. This link might be of help; if not, I'll keep tweaking.

EC2, the system should now accept two-letter names. It was defaulted to accept no less than 3.

There's nothing under the User CP about avatars, sigh.

Glad to be back here, and thanks for setting this up so fast! I should have checked the blogs earlier - I'd have had something to keep me busy when it was slow at work :)

Does the avatar option display now only for moderators, maybe?

This is great! I have missed you guys! Well done mods for creating this new site. It is a shame that we have lost all that wealth of information from the other site, but I guess we will just have to talk about all those books, all over again!
