We're BAAACK!

Post by boswellbaxter » Mon August 25th, 2008, 4:05 pm

Since the Historical Fiction.org has vanished from cyberspace without explanation, the mods have started this new site. In the days to come, we'll be improving it, so bear with us for a while. We've missed you guys!

One way to get the site off to a good start would be for those of you who have posted book reviews in the past to repost them.

Welcome back!

I'll see if I can post a message at TudorTalk, I think a few members were on that list.

A big "thank you" from me too. I'm so relieved; morning coffee just hasn't been the same w/o the HF forum. Somehow I feel like I need to know what everyone else is reading, and what they think about what they've read.

And a big "high five" from me as well. I'm sure it won't be any time at all before we are all back together again ... and having a big family reunion!

You guys must have worked really, really hard to get this up so quickly. The withdrawal symptoms have been terrible - I'm so glad to have a forum again. Thank you!!!

I've posted an announcement on my blog at http://www.historicalnovels.info/histor ... -blog.html. It had a huge number of visitors yesterday, so people are hungry for news.
Browse over 5000 historical novel listings (probably well over 5000 by now, but I haven't re-counted lately) and over 700 reviews at www.HistoricalNovels.info

Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.
Location: California Bay Area

Good job, guys! I've missed the forum. Fortunately, I have word files of all my book reviews, so I'll go post them again. Hope my avatar will cooperate.
