Oh no! How infuriating- and you probably though you could take it easy in January with the work already done in advance :( They're not lurking in your back-up files somewhere, are they?

It's always a pain when that happens. I've had it several times while writing long involved e-mails. You watch an hour's work disappear and know you haven't the time to write the bugger all over again. :(
Hope you can recoup them or write them faster this time round!

Bad headache + screaming kid = misery. Wants to play with the computer instead of doing therapy. Not gonna happen.

for the 5th time since Christmas it's snowing and below 0! this is Oklahoma where it only snows 1-2x a year. I had fun playing in it the first three times with kids and four wheelers but now I'm tired of it. I want to move to Costa Rice, Belize somewhere warm and sunny.

Migraine + column due tomorrow + 395 double-spaced typed copy-edited pages to peruse & check & fix & update within a week = misery. I'm just thankful that, unlike LH, I do not have a screaming child to add to the mix. (Just the thumps as the toddler upstairs practices his bowling technique on the hardwood floors...)

Locked myself out of my car at the parking garage this am. Fortunately AAA came within 20 minutes.

first off I didn't sleep last night, up at 2:40 am watching the digital clock. get to work and everyone is hush hush about a last minute meeting (turned out to be no biggie but still the nerves were shot). had a meeting right before I left for the day, boss said your not doing your job as well as this time last year so if you don't step up I'll fire you and because of the situation you won't get unemployment, so think hard and focus. my commute is 1 hour and 20 minutes, I leave the last possible moment tomake it to get the girls from school and guess what, my car wont start...it's so dead the engine won't even turn over, not even a click.

Worst day of my fricking 25 years to date
