Watched A Little Princess with my youngest daughter, which she loved. They made changes from the book, which I guess some readers might not be happy with. In this version, Sara's father takes her to a boarding school in NYC so that he can serve in WWI. However, I am glad that they made one change (SPOILERS AHEAD):

In this version the father lives and is eventually reunited with his daughter. I'm glad I didn't have to explain the father's death to my daughter.

I loved that movie as a kid, but find it incredibly sappy now. But I went to a 'say along' in college for Wizard of Oz - what fun!

Just back from Up in the Air and am unsure of what the movie was trying to say. I though it was going to be a comedy about a serious subject, but by the end it was totally depressing. Not that I care about happy endings, but I'm not sure about the choice here. Acting is excellent btw, the woman who plays oppostic Clooney is marvelous!

"Sherlock Holmes". Great movie, enjoyed it immensely! Loved RDJ as Holmes, and Jude Law as Watson, hope we have a sequel!

Will be buying it on DVD not just because I liked it so much, but because of my hearing problem, sometimes I couldn't understand what was being said and I can read the closed captioning on DVD. Musicals are the worse for me if I've never heard the songs before and don't know the lyrics already, but I really want to see "Nine", but they didn't know when it might come to the island theatre, bummer!
