For some reason, I've been having some trouble finding a reasonably-priced copy of #12 in the Morland Dynasty series, The Victory, but just now on Amazon I found one, so I bought it. I just couldn't resist :) .
Just bought for myself a couple of Margaret Irwin's from an online auction, both about James Graham, 1st Marquess of Montrose- "The Proud Servant" and "The Bride". Has anyone read these? I hadn't heard of his friendship with Louise Hollandine, sister of Prince Rupert of the Rhine, so not sure if it's based on fact or not.
The Bride is my favorite Margaret Irwin novel. Back when I first read it, I got curious about the historical background and found a source that mentioned their relationship was based on fact. Now I'm not so sure; it may have been based on rumor instead. I'd be curious if you find out anything more.

Is it because they don't want you buying something they might be getting you for Christmas or to torture you? Or other reason?

I bought The Virgin Blue by Tracy Chevalier and Mary Queen of Scots and the Murder of Lord Darnley by Alison Weir at our hospital library's book sale for $1 each! I think that's a pretty good deal. Both are in mint condition.

Also picked up The Witches' Trinity, Dark Angels and Leonardo's Swan during a Black Friday sale at a Boarder's outlet all at a great price!

A great week for deals on books.

Oh good, at least it's not to torture you! Though it probably still is a torture not to be able to buy!
