Several of my daughter's school friends have had it. Keep expecting to hear that "Mom, I don't feel so well . . ." any morning now!
Does it move as quickly as people say it does?

Well, she's been back at school since late August. They had a lot of it when people first got back to school, but it seems to be more scattered now. A couple of the girls who have had it are her close friends, so they're either great hand-washers or it's taking its time to get around.

I just found out that the man I consider as my dad has cancer and has been doing chemo since MARCH! He lives in LA and so we don't see him very often. He says he was hoping it would go into remission, but it's a type that won't get any better or worse at the moment and if they operate it would spread.

He was my mother's first husband and the father of my brother and sister and Harm's grandfather. His 65th is on the 9th.

Sigh :(

SM, I'm so sorry. That is such a nightmare for you all. I hope you'll be able to spend some time with him in the coming months...

In light of that my worst thing isn't really a worst thing at all. It's nearly a worst thing -- a file containing interview notes vanished from my laptop. But after an hour of searching, I found it again... And now the only worst thing is that I have to crank out an article in the next 2 hours.

Thanks everyone.

Unfortuantely we can't afford to fly to L.A with the 3 of us and dealing with Jasper.

But my sister and her kids are leaving tomorrow, a friend of theirs bought 4 tickets and they'll be there a week and she'll be able to go with him to chemo on his birthday Friday.

Migraine plus deadlines equals toxic combination.

Yuck yuck yuck.

I want a new head, please. One that doesn't ache.
