Watched the French film, Ridicule, which I had seen once before, but had the urge to watch again.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

Not as bad as I'd expected, but still nowhere near as good as the book. As usual the Weasley twins were cut down way too much. And no quidditch! How could they?

Bedtime Stories was really cute. Didn't know Guy Pearce could sing.

Oh yes, Guy sings. When I was all drooly over him a few years ago I spent way to much for a CD with a few songs with him singing on it from Australia.

Confessions of a Shopaholic. Isla Fisher was adorable, and there were a few nice touches, but this one's very missable overall.

Bah Humbug.....So disappointed in many of today's films.....Thanks to Netflix huge library of great classic films.....Friday night I watched a charming old classic called "Trail of the Lonesome Pine" 1936...Starring Henry Fonda, Fred Macmurray and Silvia Sidney...A story about two Appalachian Families that have a long running blood feud....Beautiful old fashioned technicolor, very good acting, great outdoor scenery, and long list of terrific character actors.....the fight scenes are a bit dated....but add to the charm of the film.....Great story taken the very popular novel by the same title....John Fox jr, 1908.....And yet I still look and hope for a few new intelligent films .....hopefully the holiday season will dazzle us with new releases....
