Queen of Love

Post by Misfit » Fri September 18th, 2009, 3:43 pm

A very slow start on this one, although being constantly pregnant is definitely an encumbrance to extra marital activity. That said, her bath has been prepared and Rosumund has been ordered to help her undress. Then to test the water temperature,
"...as she moved towards the steaming tub, pushing up her sleeve, added, "Not with your hand, girl. With your ass.'"
"My hand coursed up her thigh and over her left buttock, then moved up to her shoulder.........I brought my hand out of her hair and back to her shoulder, then slid it in front, down to her breast, to cup it and hold it, and gently pinch the nipple."

"...the fact that we had shared a bath, because after she had soaped me I had her in the tub on top of me, and as the water had flowed out our mutual desires had flowed in...."
I was worried at first that there might be a relationship with Becket, but I think it's not going to happen. Things may change though. Oh, and Richard at age nine is very much interested in the boys only.

Well I finished. Glad it's over. We're spared Becket but she seduces another of Henry's mistresses, has an affair with William Marshal, Bondel the Lute Player (who then goes on to make whoopee with Richard), although hands down funniest was when she gave Berengeria a very detailed lesson in sex education.

Oh, and the French King was in love with both Geoffrey and Richard in turn.

That would put a new gloss on "who will rid me of this troublesome priest?" An Eleanor/Henry/Becket love triangle - who knew?

Some of the best parts were getting to be a bit much to post here (wouldn't want to have to moderate myself ;) ), so you can read them here and here.

I'm glad Innocent III at least was left out of it.

Thank you, Misfit, you read it so we didn't have to.

I've been laughing at your little snippets Misfit!

Maybe the author had dreams for his book being written into Carry on with the Plantagenants!

I couldn't resist reviving this thread. Endeavour Press has been revitalizing his old titles under one of her other pseudonyms, Christopher Nicole, and putting them on KU. Queen of Lions and the one on Joanna out very recently.

And, now the two books on Eleanor have been digitalized. Reviews are scorching.
