I dropped my daughter off at college this morning! She has her own room in a two room suite and is all set to begin. So excited for her!

I think it's a best thing. I don't know. I've been asked to apply for a job on a newspaper editorial board, but it would mean moving back to Canada. Massive dilemma.....

I'm a bit late on this, but my best thing on Tues. (11:56 pm to be exact) was the birth of our second baby girl! Any baby lovers are welcome to stop by my blog for some pics!

Congratulations, Anna! How far apart are your girls? Mine were three years apart and I found that while others said that was a great age gap the sibling rivalry has been challenging! Enjoy your newborn days. They go by so fast!

Thanks, everyone! She's a dream of a baby. And Ludmilla, the girls are just over 2.5 years apart. So far so good! :)

Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.

Beautiful little girl, Anna! Congratulations. (Doesn't it feel great to have the weight off the bladder?)

My three were almost exactly two years apart, but we thought hard how to shape the rivalry out of each situation. (I'm afraid my parents, intending the best but understanding little, made the rivalry in my birth family something fierce.) Now they are in their late 20s -- early 30s and they are still best friends, even the spouses.

May your girls be the same.

Congratulations, Anna! She's darling!

Love the way her hand is up in the second picture. Seems contemplative. Maybe she'll be a writer one day. :)
