Just re-watched "The Vikings" Now there's a movie that's stood the test of time- what a classic --Tony Curtis (Eric) and Kirk Douglas (Einar) duelling their way all over the battlements of Aella's tower--

Annis....The Theme music (The signal horn) is once again buzzing in my head...Still after all these years....I still enjoy watching it.....at the time it was made....they say it was of the best researched films.....the long ships, the running of the oars, the mead hall, costumes were quite good and those beautiful fjords.....All the characters were interesting.....Exception Janet Leigh looked a little bit out of proportion,(maybe it was armour?) along with Tony's (long armed)missing hand.....George MacDonald Fraser's, film book gave it high marks on authenticity.....A real hoot of a film.....Currently I'm engrossed with "Foyle's War" series....so interesting seeing the UK the Hastings area with excellent mysteries intertwined with WWII....And I love Foyle, Sam, Andrew and Milner characters......

"Frost/Nixon", Langella really did look like Nixon in scenes. Good movie.

I think it might have been the Madonna-type ice-cream cone bra at fault there! Tony's very short leather shorts were even more disturbing than the shonky arm, IMO :)

LOL I was just going to say that! Yeah those vikings and their short shorts and 1950's foundation garments. :p

Was this the one with the bell at the end? I always get it mixed up with the other viking movie that had Sidney Poitier as the bad guy...

Classic movie, anyway :D

I was never a Bullock fan, but I did love this movie. Surprised by how it was panned by the critics, but what do they know.

Star Trek

Having grown up watching the later "Star Trek" TV series and movies, I enjoyed it.

The Pirate which was good in spite of being so overdone. Of course I love Gene Kelly. Not Cole Porter's best work.
