what is the difference between 'admin' and 'moderator'? Miranda used to me a moderator, but on that post, she was admin. Could it be that she bought the old forum to get it up and running again? I somebody over there would just tell me what was going on, they would find I'm always happy to cooperate with someone of good will.
An administrator isn't necessarily an owner--it's just a matter of being granted access to certain functions by the owner of the site. Diamondlil and I are both administrators and owners, but we could make a third person an administrator without him/her being an owner.

An administrator has access to functions that a moderator doesn't. That was the problem at the old site--the moderators couldn't do things like create new categories, which wouldn't have been a problem if someone else was doing it for us, but no one was.

Someone want to drop him a PM? I'm banned and have no access to even mail anymore. Jane, so far myself, MLE and EC have been banned. Probably for daring to invite recent posters over here. Our posts regarding same have been deleted quite promptly as well.

If I'm not mistaken, BB and DL are no longer mods there. Or am I miss reading the profile?

Oh for heaven's sake. Somebody needs to get a life.

I just went over there and scouted around. I see "banned" beneath the screen names for you guys. What a joke!

Well, whatever, wish 'em well and move on.

No she didn't buy it as far as I know. The new owners finally did something and gave her administration rights which means that she can make changes to forums etc. You know....the access that we had been asking for for months.

I am not 100% sure what Miranda's intentions are, but it looks as though she intends to keep it running, which is fine. It was never the intention to create a split, but it looks as though might be what has happened. As Boswell said earlier in the thread, there is room in cyberspace for more than one board.

I guess people will have the choice of whether they want to post here, there or at both places. I will be staying here.

I think Lauren/MLE PM'd a bunch yesterday. Any division between boards is their own fault -- if they'd only communicated instead of just shutting it down like that. What'd they expect? I'm perfectly happy here and any way I'm banned :o
