Just arrived today, Bridge to the Holy Cross (for some reason it was cheaper to buy this version than Tatiana and Alexander) and The Summer Garden by Paullina Simons. They're huge and tiny tiny print.

Just ordered Fatal Majesty by Reay Tannahill since it was going for a penny.
Good score! When I found out how much that usually sells for, I cringed at the thought that I simply threw my copy out because of a dog-chewed corner...
This might sound kind of strange, but I made a list for my husband of my books that are seemingly worth some money on the used book market. That way if something happens to me, he won't just donate them to Goodwill!

I would have put my name down for the "The Traitor's Wife" giveaway, but it just got shipped to me yesterday! I had the paperback on order since last November. Can hardly wait to read it! Oh yeah I also picked up "The Silk Trade" by Victoria Holt and a Dorothy Dunnett book, "Caprice and Rondo" that the Library was giving away for donations. Yeah!!!

I need another book at this moment like I need another hole in the head, but this one sounded fascinating:
"Final Exits: The Illustrated Encyclopedia of How We Die" by Michael Largo

Bookcloseouts had another sale (sigh), which resulted in another stack of books piling up next to my desk. Among them:

The Virgin's Tale, Sherri Smith (about a Vestal Virgin in ancient Rome - I'd heard no mention of this novel before spotting it on BCO)
Mudbound, Hillary Jordan (20th c Louisiana)
Skeletons at the Feast, Chris Bohjalian (WWII Europe)
An Expert in Murder, Nicola Upson (Josephine Tey mystery)
