I recieved KitCoSQ yesterday and was very shocked, it's brand new! not a crease, smug, and the 'bubbled up' you can't even see unless you have 20/20 vision and a magnifine glass. there is a paper in the front cover but you can't read anything on it, I wonder if it was the recipt or something.

Thanks for the tip again.

A bit of historical trivia regarding service to each of Henry VIII's wives: Anne Parr did it. She was Catherine Parr's sister and served each queen, including her own sister. Their mother Maude Greene Parr had served Catherine of Aragon and set her daughter on a similar path.

All three Parr women are extremely interesting primarily because of the high level of education achieved and used by the Parr sisters. I'd love to read a fictionalized biography about Anne Parr's life and accomplishments. I haven't read KCSQ, but it doesn't sound like Abbey's Kathryn is based on Anne Parr.

That's fascinating! I had never realized she was there for all six.

If I recall this fictional Katherine was a Howard relative of some sorts. You don't want to read this one for the history but it is a jolly good romp with a fascinating hero (and I'm not talking about Henry :) :p )

Ha ha!! Got it! Finally!!! My rule was that it had to be under $10 including shipping and I made it. Now this darned book better be good after waiting so long! :p :D

Thanks for the heads up, Sonja!

No prob, I get emails from ABEBooks letting me know when certain books show up, and "Kathryn" is one of them, but since I already have a copy and don't buy them any more for Ebay, I figure members here might be interested.
