I sat in a daze after that movie was over. What a splendid performance by Jenkins, and the story, well, its basically something that is happening all over the country, that most people don't know about, and they should.

They were running the second half of 2008's Sense & Sensibility on PBS tonight, and it's just lovely to look at.

I just saw Mrs. Brown with the wonderful Dame Judi Dench. I cannot recommend this movie highly enough. I have always wanted to write on Queen Victoria's relationship (love affair? marriage?) with Mr. Brown. However, that's not the direction my career is going in, so I've had to settle for reading about it and watching this movie. Amazing!

Wasn't Billy Connelly something else in this film? I was just amazed by his bringing John Brown to life. I don't think that Victoria married him, but I do think that their relationship was a very close and inimate one -- I don't think that anyone would replace dearest, adored Albert in her heart. Judi Dench did a wonderful job as Victoria. Have you seen the A&E miniseries _Victoria and Albert_?

I saw the OTBG the UK edition. Blah, it was worse than the American one!
