This site seems to be very interesting for historical research:

Thanks, Laura! I'm always looking for more resources on medieval and Reformation German history in particular, so I've bookmarked this site. I've just been skimming through the Table Talk of Luther (not on the site, however) and realized what a wonderful source it is not just for theological ideas, but for the way people lived at the time.

For example, in 1537:

"In my youth all games were prohibited; makers of cards and musicians at dances weren't admitted to the sacraments, and people were required to make confession of their gaming, dancing, and jousting. Today these things are the vogue, and they are defended as exercises for the mind."
Browse over 5000 historical novel listings (probably well over 5000 by now, but I haven't re-counted lately) and over 700 reviews at www.HistoricalNovels.info

It's one I use Laura and it's very useful. Paul Halsall's on an academic e-list that Sharon Penman and I frequent.

Brilliant site. I find it useful for both ancient and medieval original sources.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever used StumbleUpon? I signed up for it and have gone through their entire listing of ancient history sites. There's a lot of sites I never knew about. I book marked the majority of them, including this one, I believe.

I haven't Rowan, but my son uses it and often raves about it.
At the moment I'm quite enjoying Cool Iris on Firefox, which lists images of subjects and then you click on a website icon to go to the site.
