Pretty much snowed in today. London has ground to a halt. It not only snowed heavily overnight but continued for most of the day. Very few people made it into work I understand. I worked from home but haven't really managed to get that much done. More is expected tonight.
My snow is kind of a 'Best thing Today' because it's ten years since we've had any here and as I work from home anyway and the dh is retired, we've been enjoying it. It's still snowing now, but very tiny snow, almost sleet and the temperature is 0 degrees outside. Suppose it might drop by full dark.

Loads of snow here today and more expected tonight. My daughter was unable to go to school and looks like she'll be unable to go tomorrow, too. She's been loving it, though - sledging and building snowmen!!

The little male puppy I had on deposit had to be PTS the other day. There were only two puppies born in the litter and the little male just never thrived and had difficulty nursing so after three days the awful decision was made. The owner of the Mama dog was an incrediblely nice man, doesn't breed for profit, and is very involved with working his dog. He also said even though I couldn't end up getting a dog from him that he is available for any questions or anything I need. There is another litter available from one of the very very few breeders I'd buy a dog like a Presa Canario from so I'm contacting them to see about getting one of their puppies. Hopefully something will work out!

Thanks, Sonja! I keep thinking how unfair it is that backyard breeders and irresponsible pet owners can have litter after litter and here is someone who did everything right and not only did they only have two puppies but only one survived! :( It's a good lesson on how dog breeding is not all cute puppies and happy smiles. It can be heartbreaking as well! As dissapointed as I am it's so much worse for them as they spent months anticipating the puppies, even longer than that planning the breeding, and then three long sleepless nights trying to pull this puppy through. My heart aches for them!

You're welcome!

I don't know if you've heard about this, but in my state, hundreds of puppies were taken from puppy mills. Most were found in deplorable conditions, had parasites and diseases and left to fend for themselves!

They are trying to rehabliate them and hopefully one day they will be found loving homes. It was just appalling to see and hear about, I had to cuddle Jasper a lot!

head cold is worse and now in my chest. I'm keeping in a coma like state of mind to numb the voice in my head saying 'you really didn't need to miss work but you did anyhoe...'

LCW, so sorry to hear about losing your puppy, poor little mite. Here's hoping for a happier outcome in the future.
