With my birthday just around the corner (I'll let you work out when it is ), my best and dearest friend Jean sent me two books about England as gifts. The title of this thread is the title of one of the books. It's an irreverent A-Z guide of all things British.
So I thought I'd ask those who live in the UK what locations, habits, events, etc. you consider to be quintessentially British.
