I remember watching Brideshead Revisited[i/] waaay back in the 70's with Anthony Andrews and Jeremy Irons. Quite a miniseries -- and I recently picked up the novel, but haven't read it yet. I confess to being a fan of Emma Thompson, I'll watch nearly anything that she is in.

Watched Love in the Time of Cholera this week on dvd. Gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous and a very heartbreaking story as well. Review is posted here: http://www.epinions.com/review/Love_in_ ... 2397920900 if anyone is interested.
did they play the mini-series here in
the states, too?
Yes, the Brideshead Revisited series was on PBS in the USA in early 1982.

"Terminator". I've seen #2 & #3 and watch "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" and want to see the one next year with Christian Bale as John Connor but have never seen the original. Thought it was about time.

I watched "Sex and the City" last night, after doing a marathon of the entire series.

3:10 to Yuma the other day.

Highly recommended even if you're not into westerns. Bale and Crowe are excellent.

I love the extended versions of the LOTR films, think they are better than the cinema versions although it's good to be able to take a break, especially during the 3rd one!

I've got 3.10 to Yuma on tape, Bale and Crowe are always worth watching and I'm sure will look good as cowboys!

I also finally got round to watching "Elizabeth" (with Cate Blanchett) the other day , it's one of those films I've always missed when it's been on TV, anyway finally taped it and have now seen it, thought it was good (CB is excellent) but a bit arty with some of the shots (all those overhead shots were a bit dizzying!) and of course it's not totally accurate historically either, but well made and acted.

"Forrest Gump" and it can still make me sniffle.

I have all the LOTR Extended Movies on DVD's. Once every year or so Harm and I spend about a week or so watching them.
