received Sands of the Arena today, I'll read it after I finish The Thistle and the Rose. I've Tudor-ed myself out for now so a Roman adventure will be a nice change of scenery.

Daughter of Lir by Diana Norman arrived on the doorstep today!

I also stopped by the library and picked up The Witch's Trinity by Erika Mailman. I also spotted A Company of Liars on the shelf, so will probably borrow that one next.

Had to go to the post office to pick up a parcel. It was an ARC of The Piano Teacher by Janice Y K Lee. Set in Hong Kong in the 40s and 50s.

I haven't decided what to use my Amazon Gift Cert on yet. There are so many books I'd like to read but I'm so picky about what I would actually want to use it on.

I went to the Book Barn in Niantic, Connecticut, today and picked up half a dozen books, including Winston Graham's The Grove of Eagles, Anthony Capella's The Various Flavors of Coffee, Amitav Ghosh's Sea of Poppies, and Judith Tarr's Bring Down the Sun, all for about $5 apiece. They always have a great selection - either people are trading in review copies or recent purchases, because the books were in great shape.

I used my credit at my local new/used to get the 7th book in the Dresden Files series, but it'll be awhile before I can read it because I have so many in front of it from BF, the book on the Grey sisters and my Christmas present.
