Taylor Calwell's Pillar of Iron is on sale today at amazon. About Cicero. I remember reading it in high school, and loving it. So I got a copy to see if it will hold up to a re-read.

Amazon UK - a selection of Nigel Tranter books are 99p and £1.99 in Kindle format. The advantage of getting his books in Kindle being that you can avoid the tiny, tiny print of the paperbacks :)

Today's deal on Amazon for $1.99: George MacDonald Fraser's The Candlemass Road. I'd snap it up, except I already own it. (The 'road' in the title is border dialect for 'raid'. It's very atmospheric, and loaded with authentic and engaging dialect. A gem!

One of my top ten ever just showed up as a kindle deal! James Clavell's Shogun. $1.99 today. Added it to my library, and going to toss my tattered paperback.
