Yes, pirates have become a real issue again, though there's nothing too glamorous about the modern ones. Though who knows, in a couple of hundred years time the Somalian pirates might become the subject of swashbuckling historical fiction. Nothing like distance for adding glamour.

There really wasn't much glamrous about the older ones, esp if you were on the wrong side of the sword. While I loved the Pirates of the Carribean, I've never been much of a fan of them.
