Re: Google Images
I assume they won't be available in the US, but for us Europeans there are some nice images for the Euro football tournament, a lovely one of the Eiffel Tower kicking a football around

Not available in the US, although you spooked me when I clicked on the thread to the recent posts and I got your comment about St. Patrick's Day.Madeleine wrote:I assume they won't be available in the US, but for us Europeans there are some nice images for the Euro football tournament, a lovely one of the Eiffel Tower kicking a football around

- Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
- Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
- Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.

Re: Google Images
Google is coming up with all kinds of random anniversaries now. Almost every day somebody's 114th birthday or the like is featured. I am learning about people I never knew existed.

Re: Google Images
Nice one today for St Andrew's Day, not sure if it's UK only though.

Can't believe it's a year since this thread was last used. Another lovely image for St Andrew's Day, and yesterday's was also very pretty, for Gertrude Jekyll's (famous gardener) hundredth odd birthday.

Must have been UK only, shame as they were both lovely.
