Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.
Location: California Bay Area

George MacDonald Fraser's Candlemass Road (a 'road' is dialect for 'raid') is $1.99 on Amazon today. A good read.

Over the Wine-dark Sea is $.99 today. Interesting, if somewhat low on plot. A couple Greek sea-traders hit various ports around the Mediterranean.

Yes! Gwen Bristow's entire Plantation trilogy is on sale today, the set for $3.99. I'd buy it, except I already have all three.
great reads. Deep Summer, Handsome Road, and This Side of Glory

Nice catch, so good to see those available. Used prices were through the roof a few years ago.
At home with a good book and the cat...

Longbourn by Jo Baker is £1.99 today. Pride and Prejudice from the POV of the servants (the story has very little to do with the story of P&P, the servants have their own tale). I enjoyed it a lot.

The Chosen Queen by Joanna Courtney is 99p on Amazon UK today. I haven't read it but it looks promising, about Edith, wife of Harold.
