I got the DVD miniseries for Christmas.

I very much liked the novel. And even more so the mini-series. I thought it was well adapted and added explanations and texture that were absent in the book. Will be interesting to see what you think!

I enjoyed the TV series too, it's quite quirky and looks fabulous.

I also enjoyed the book, but read it a few years back, so the TV series felt fresh as I had forgot some of the plot.

Who are everyone's favourite characters? And which of the title characters do you prefer?
I really like Segundus and Childermass (in both the book and the series.)

I still haven't read it, but enjoyed the TV show and I think Childermass was my favourite character. There was an out-take show on TV the other week and they showed a clip of him and Mr Segundus talking by their horses, and suddenly one of the horses started to wee, and well it was like a torrent and both the actors collapsed in hysterics.
