I have to ask you guys - I've been starting lists at GR to keep track easier. Twice now, I've had one of the authors come by and vote his/her book onto the list. Seriously? Does a list that's tracking endlessly photoshopped covers sound not very complimentary, yet they're voting on them. I had to giggle, I also started a list for heroines who can't stay put - and that's a trope that drives romance readers nuts, so it's not a compliment to be on it - yet a notorious serial spammer voted her book onto it. :o :( [/quote]

Hahaha, any publicity is good publicity I guess.

For the book covers, I guess if they are confident the story is good and they couldn't help the cover, they're maybe poking fun at themselves while getting their book seen at the same time. Not so bad.

The second author doesn't sound that clever though, they maybe didn't bother to read what the list was about (great reading comprehension for an author!).

The second author likely doesn't look that closely. She must troll the lists, she hit one of mine within minutes after I created it :(

We don't see hats on ladies much in the Pacific NW. Perhaps they wear them for formal dress parties, but I don't get invited to them. We're more of a jeans and tennis shoe mindset.

It's the girl running again. Have we seen this one before?

So here's another Regency romance author using these covers:

Yes she looks familiar, I seem to remember her on a more reddish cover but can't remember what it is.

I think Mythica has been tracking that one.

I can't decide. This the same pair, or not? Or did they take the lapels off of the black jacket?

I think we've seen The Harlot's Tale before.

Edit, I knew I'd seen it on a cover from at least one other author.
