Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.
Location: California Bay Area

What angers me is that the model looks like a 12-year-old in makeup.

It's been a long time since I came by and ... this was worth seeing, in its way. The badly rendered font, the look on her (yes, much too young and badly painted, MLE) face. Oh the glorious cheese.

Staying well away from the blurb, definitely ...
"To be the queen, she agreed to be the widow!"

I know we've seen the Anne O'Brien one before but I don't think this Warwick Collins was posted?

There is a list at GR that is tracking that dress. Let's see if I can find it.

I'm sure this is the guy in the black jacket. He looks a bit different, but the positioning of their hands is the same I think.

It doesn't really look like him, but could be him going by the eyebrows. Maybe he has an equally amorous cousin?

And there's a Jean Plaidy cover with that white dress, can't find atm though, on holiday and using mobile.

I saw another cover with the white dress over on Fantastic Fiction, but can't remember who the author was.

Yeah, the eyebrows look the same.

Here's the GR list I was promising.

The Caustic Cover Critic has amassed a truly stunning collection of covers with a "woman clutching her head in a field" photo. She has a disappearing scarf! :p
