Legolas was in The Hobbit 2 and 3 too much. A cameo in Mirkwood would have made sense, as he is the Prince, but then they made him have powers of gravity. There really didn't need to be three movies, one or two would have worked. The 'trilogy' is basically some parts of the book they did really well, and actors I like to watch.

Another one to have seen "Hobbit 3" today! We saw it in IMAX 3D. Parts were good, others were dragged out. It wasn't packed in the theater so that was good.

While the previews were going, there was a trailer for the "Downton Abbey" season 5 starting Sun., Jan. 4th in the US!

I thought Hobbit 1 dragged out more. From that, I really liked 'Riddles in the Dark', and the scenes in the Shire.

I saw "Tabloid", an Errol Morris documentary about a case I'd never heard of and knew nothing about at all - the Manacled Mormon. Just unreal, and the final act took an entirely unexpacted turn into an entirely different story. Enjoyed it, if that is the right term for basically consuming salacious entertainment about sex, crime, and religious issues. Certainly a fascinating central figure - and leaves you wondering about the one who would not talk ...

Sunday morning I'm not at church because I'm having work done on the house, so at home and watching "Tower of London" with Basil Rathbone and an early appearance by Vincent Price. Have not seen this in years!

I actually enjoyed that movie a lot more than I thought I would - apparently it's up for a re-make.

Madeleine, so did I. But then they did "Queen of the Damned" and ... Oh dear, no.

I first watched Interview in Junior High (last time I'd read the book.) Still a good movie. Is it weird if I find Lestat funny?

Oh, when is the remake? Maybe they should redo Queen of the Damned too, as it is was very bad.
