I'm reading only in French to try to get my mind back into French mode for my upcoming holiday next week, but since it's a bit more work it's starting to feel like I'm on a diet! I keep eyeing up every other (English, HF) novel in sight and having to drag myself away.
Anyway I'm currently reading Le Voyage d'hiver by Amelie Nothomb, but finding it dull. It's ok though because I downloaded for free a French translation of a Harlequin regency romance about a scandalous duchess or something, so that's next. It'll probably be crap, and silly since it's a translation from English, but at this point I don't care!

Finished World of the World: Global Dispatches, edited by Kevin Anderson--an interesting anthology of stories from around the globe, "written" by or about famous late 19th century people, on their experiences during the Martian invasion chronicled by H. G. Wells. It's an interesting writing challenge to produce a compelling story in a famous voice.
Starting a writing project, so back to research books for a while.
