It looks like a bib gone wild.
Besides being the wrong color and probably the wrong fabric, shouldnt that ruff match the ruffles on her sleeves? since the idea behind the ruff is making it look an ornament of the chemise. (usually white)
I've found a little extreme example of what I mean:

Ruff aside, the entire scene on the upper part of the cover gives me the impression that she is wearing a huge carnival mask with a painting... Unfortunate cover.

I think I have a match.

I don't much care for either version.

her head and hands actually look disembodied - that ruff looks like it's about to turn into a helicopter and fly off!

emr, you make me want to find some way to use the phrase "bib gone wild" - it's just too good!

That bib is something. Some of the covers below I think we've posted before, but found a new match on the left.

In the fourth cover, I want them to move so I can see the ship. :p
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

I love old ships. I recall visiting a spot in San Francisco with some lovely old ships on display. Managed at that time by the National Park Service.

The woman in the painting? The first time I saw it I thought of a cake on a plate with a lace paper. :D
