Started a mail order bride fluffy romance this morning. Something More by Winnie Griggs. Also have Count Vronsky's Daughter by Carola Salisbury out from the library.

I'm still reading a NF historical, "The Criminal Conversation of Mrs Norton", which is very interesting but too dense and ill-focused at times. Worth continuing with, though. Next up on the fiction front is either Jim Crace's "Harvest" or Hannah Kent's "Burial Rites".

Reading Richard Powers Orfeo, which is just as dense and wonderful as his other work (not HF, more like dysutopian sci fi). Also started reading Daughters of Mars.

About 2/3's done with A Burnable Book. It finally started to pick up about half-way through.

Finished: Mark Twain in Washington, DC by John Muller (NF)
Local history book about Mark Twain as a newspaper reporter in DC before he became a household name. It's an interesting read for anyone who's read his novels and other writings.

That was such a nice appetizer to the main story. I'm reading Count Vronsky' s Daughter by Carols Salisbury. Yes, that Count Vronsky.
