Is it just me, or does that picture only really work on the first book?

I have to agree. The extra artwork of the ships kind of tones down his beefy shoulder and tah-tahs :p

She has a rather elaborate hair style for being on a wagon train.

The haircolor in that golden mountain version is ... garish.

I just never will like photographs as covers on historicals.

Give me a vintage Tom Hall or Pino cover. Mount Rainier is lovely as always ;)
