Lol, never worry about asking a question. Stepback is the artwork inside the front cover of some books. You want some serious artwork eye-candy, go to this goodreads photo gallery here. Time suck warning.

Good grief! The one I clicked on was My Reckless Surrender by Anna Campbell. What is that flesh coloured splodge at his trouser opening level - just a careless smudge in the style of the painting or does it hint at something else?!
