Is the Isabella novel about the queen of Edward II? How did she get clothes from the future?

From the Amazon description that looks to be the Isabella. I think I saw a mention of Piers Gaveston.

Yeah I always thought the ruffs started with Elizabeth I and Mary QoS. Never saw Mary I or Marie de Guise wearing ruffs in portraits. Also, do you think they took them off when eating?

Haha, maybe that's what they were for, catching food like a bib so it didn't get on the dress!

Oh yes definitely. Same dress and necklace, and you can see the bottom of the feather headdress in the first picture too.
