Good luck Lady B - we did it for A Level and I absolutely loathed it.

I've just started "The Glass Guardian" by Linda Gillard.

Finished Bernard Cornwell's Agincourt this weekend and am starting Penman's The Sunne in Splendour as my bedtime book since I only have the print version and don't feel like carrying that big, thick book around. It's going to take me forever to read this way, I think. Already after only 40 pages last night I'm heartbroken
Which may be why I had put off reading this for so long... so much enmity and so many lives lost. It's more than a little depressing (though fascinating).

Treason by Meredith Whitford. Follows along the same lines as SKP Sunne but a little less detail/little more focus on the romance.

Ah yes, I need to finish that. I have it on my kindle, and it was pretty good. But got distracted, and forgot about it entirely.

I've almost done and I can see a very interesting spin on what happened to the Princes in the Tower. Richard III certainly is made out to be the "good guy" that bad things happen to.

I'm about to start The One Plus One by Jojo Moyes, a book I've received to read and review via LoveReading. It's due to be published next spring.

DNF Sylvia by Bryce Courtney - suddenly went off into cod medieval speak and it seemed rather bogged down and repetitive despite being adventurous.

Then began a Fannie Flagg - forgotten the title but that went down like a lead balloon too.

Have now begun The Colour by Rose Tremain and am really enjoying it so far - 19thC New Zealand settlers.

I'm rereading a plaidy somebody left in my car. Mary, Queen of Scots. I'm not sure whether these plaidys count as novels or biographies.

Preferred HF: I like a series the best - more to look forward to after one book ends. Masters of Rome, The Century Trilogy, & the Outlander series are some of my favorites.

Just got back from a vacation in Kauai. Wonderful weather & lots of time to read! Read my first EC, The Greatest Knight & thoroughly enjoyed it. Never had heard much about Richard & John's brothers before. Now I'm hooked, & have to get The Scarlet Lion :) Also enjoyed Arturo Perez-Reverte's Captain Alatriste & am into A Thousand Splendid Suns now, which is heartwrenching.

DNF Sylvia by Bryce Courtney

Don't blame you - Sylvia was a real dog and the worst thing Courtenay ever wrote! Dozens of copies ended up in charity shop book bins after Christmas when that one came out :)
