The Most Amusing Thing Today....

Post by Nefret » Sat August 24th, 2013, 1:16 am

I'm not sure if I started one of these already, but there needs to be one. Because funny things brighten otherwise dull days.

Today I found a Buzzfeed setting called the Catinternets. It's like the other lists, except from the point of view of cats.

We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled

Sorry for being AWOL :) Studies, looking for work, agents, and personal stuff have gotten in the way.

Well I had a weird dream where there were different political leaders and they formed a high school! Does that count? Almost gives me an idea for satire..

Nefret, great thread idea! We need some grins. I won't have much to contribute but insufferable tales of a sweet pup with an underbite doing Quizzical Puppy Face at the TV and licking it, or a cat being impossibly dear and sweet ... :P

One of the extended scenes from The Hobbit. Features a drinking song.

Mr. Dougal threw his first temper tantrum last night when Padfoot pulled a tennis ball out of their toy box and started to play with it. Usually it's Padfoot who tries to steal the toys and throws his own version of a melt down (usually a high pitch barking frenzy ensues). I of course was trying to work out and all of the sudden, Dougal starts his roah roah roah (which is like doggy talking) and I look over and he is staring at Padfoot willing him to hand over the ball. After a few seconds Dougal runs to me and puts his one paw in the air and continues the doggy talking like "Mom, get the ball, please get the ball." Hilarious!

ah well, it had to happen some time! Sounds like he's coming out of his shell though.

My dog never liked guest dogs going through her toybox either - once we were looking after next door's dog, and we brought a ball out into the garden to see if he'd play with it, and she picked up the ball and took it back into the house. I brought the ball back outside to see if she would do it again - was it just a fluke of behaviour? - and she did: picked up the ball and pointedly marched back into the house with it, as if to say "that's mine".

Sounds like the Deputy is certainly finding his feet.

Padfoot used to do that with his toys anytime another dog would come to house. For a dog that NEVER played with anything, he suddenly became quite possessive of all of his toys and wouldn't let anyone else near. So far, he hasn't shown the same inclination with Dougal other than with the tennis balls. They both seemed to enjoy playing with those every once in a while (or daily in Dougal's case). Dougal has really come out of his shell over the past month-it has been so much fun to see him settling in and calming down! Still wish he and Padfoot would be more "brotherly" towards one another or at least rely on each other a bit. Oh well, can't have everything right?
