Which book is that?

As usual, I read more than on book at the same time, so I'm in the Rakhlands, in Malaz Isle (when I'm not being swept into the Warren of Thyr or the Shadow Realm), and Britain at the time of Uther Pendragon, only there's another dimension where I meet Gilgamesh and Ishtar.

Writing wise (why not add that one? :) ) I'm crossing the Cuffese mountain towards Tullede* in AD 931, but my characters have to camp in the forest that night because the bad way delayed them.

* Better known today as Kyffhäuser and Tilleda.

I'm on Findnar Island, just off the coast of Scotland, in the present day and also in 800 AD with the Picts!

I wish authors would leave the modern part out of their Pictish or Viking fiction. ;)

Agreed. Can anyone recommend any good non-timeslip Pictish fiction?

In case anyone was wondering, I was reading Bernard Cornwell's Saxon series.
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

OK, then I can guess which king. :)

Most of them didn't last longer than the coach of a losing soccer team in the 9th century. ;)
