It's John W. Waterhouse. The original painting is called Boreas

Personally, I think it looks best on Twilight of Avalon.
I've just been adding some of my classics onto Library Thing, and noticed Boreas used on a Pride and Prejudice cover (Italian edition I think). Actually some of the P & P covers are hilarious, they're worth checking out. ;)

I'm pretty sure these are using the same model, same photoshoot, which is weird because they are both about the same historical figure too (Catherine of Valois). This made me think they were the same book under different pen names in the US versus UK. I've seen this before when the same book will get published with just a slightly different cover in another country. But it's NOT the same book - completely different authors, not even the same publisher. Is there some new conspiracy to use the same model for the same historical figures for visual consistency or something? LOL.

I think I like the cover for The Forbidden Queen slightly better.
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

Agreed. I think the full-on shot is rather unattractive.

I don't like how her eyes stare at me like that.

LOL yeah her stare is a little unnerving.

Here she is again but this one isn't as surprising because it's the same author/sequel to Agincourt Bride - she is staring again but from a more flattering angle:
